Story Sundays

Story Sunday #1

Welcome to Story Sunday #1! Yes, today we’re introducing a NEW series! And at the end of this post is the very first Story Sunday Survey for y’all!

And… we’re diving right in!

Today’s post is super brief. I’m just here to introduce a brand-new series coming to y’all on this blog: Story Sundays!

I created this lovely Story Sundays banner myself, using Canva! *clapping and cheering ’cause it looks awesome*

On the blog survey, a large percentage asked me to share more about my WIPs. There were also many requests that I share more about my experience with the Biblical fiction writing journey. So I decided this series would be the best way to do all that!

So basically how Story Sundays will work is, I post every Sunday to share about my writing journey and more stuff about The Apostle’s Sister and The Anointed. I’ll be sharing experiences and thoughts I had while writing. Sometimes I’ll share snippets. And… this is a biggie… I’ll be telling you guys how many words I wrote that week!

This is because lately I’m finding it very hard to get motivated to write. And if I know I have to give you guys a word count update each week, it’s really gonna encourage me to write! So thank you guys for being my support system. XD

Here’s another biggie. Each Story Sunday, I will be sharing a short “diary entry” from a character. I’m planning on doing them from Temira and Seth mainly, since my novels are written exclusively from their perspectives. But if you ever want me to do one from another character then just let me know.

I feel doing the diary entries is really going to help me with my character development, and at the same time you guys will get to hear about my WIPs every week. So it’s a win-win!

One more exciting thing about Story Sundays, then I promise I’ll quit talking! (Yeah, right.) You guys get to CHOOSE what you want Temira and Seth to write diary entries about. At the end of each Story Sundays post, I’ll have a very short form for y’all to fill out. In the form, you’ll just click on which diary entry you want to see next, and that’s it! Whichever choice is most popular, I will do that diary entry for the next Story Sunday.

Who’s excited for this!? *pumps fist in the air*

Okay, now for the first Story Sunday Survey! You can fill it out HERE.

Although I know the title says Story Sunday #1, this was just the post introducing the new series. Story Sundays will begin officially next Sunday, March 7.

You know the drill – eat, pray, write, repeat!

*squeals really loudly* This sounds so exciting, JC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I LOVE the idea of you doing a diary entry for your characters!!!!!!!!! I filled out the form and I had a hard time choosing between Seth and Temira. (I literally clicked each one back and forth until I finally settled on one.๐Ÿ˜)
Also, I love the image you designed!!!! It looks amazing!!!!!!!
Also also, I know what you mean about not being motivated to write lately. I haven’t written anything in my novel for a couple of weeks now. I hope you get some writing in though!!! *sending you chocolate* I’m hoping to write later today. (Fingers crossed that I’ll get to.) If I do get to write, I can tag you on KP so we can write together if you want. I hope you are having a great Sunday!!!!!!!๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’—

Yay! I can’t wait for this series to start! Haha, I’m excited to see what everyone picks.
Thank you! Yeah, staying motivated is pretty tough. But that’s okay, sometimes you have to step back for a little while and do some brainstorming or just let yourself rest. *happily taking chocolate* Oh yes, if you do write definitely tag me! It’s great to write with others.
Sunday’s pretty chill, I hope you’re having a great one too!

Looks so fun!! So excited to hear more about TAS and The Anointed!! Hope this helps motivates you, I know it can be hard to sit down and write. That image looks amazing!!

Can’t wait! And what a great way for you to pique potential readers’ interest! And, like you said, it’s a good method for getting to know your characters better. I am eagerly waiting in anticipation!
